Foster Connections (Foster Youth) Impact on LCAP
November 10, 2014
January 21, 2015 Foster Youth Coordinator will continue to support this subgroup of students.
March 18, 2015 Teachers of Foster Youth students will receive professional development on how to

Additionally, resources and supplies were added to the LCAP to ensure students
Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) educational success.
Community Advisory Committee

January 26, 2015 GATE parents requested additional professional trainings of advanced learners.
March 23, 2015 Hence, the LCAP includes increased professional development for General Ed
May 11, 2015 teachers of advance learners to better serve these students’ needs. Professional
topics will include utilization of strategies that increase differentiation, critical
Special Education Community Advisory thinking and rigor.
Committee (CAC)
Oct. 15, 2014 Special Education parents were offered opportunities to provide input through
Dec. 10, 2014 various meetings such as Special Education Community Advisory (CAC) and other
March 11, 2015 parent meetings at district and school site level. Parents would like additional
May 13, 2015 services for students, particularly increased services and times for counseling and
nurses for students at all schools. Hence, we will continue with added support and
Superintendent’s Forum increase intern counsels.
OUSD Staff only
September 3, 2014 Certificated and classified representatives from each school sites and district office
October 1, 2014 received presentation on LCAP and Stakeholder survey information. Their input was
November 5, 2014 gathered and included in the LCAP. The committee was supportive of the actions
February 4, 2015 and services identified in the LCAP, where many took the information to school
March 4, 2015 sites. Discussion of class size also took place and included in the LCAP.
