Involvement Process Impact on LCAP
Curriculum Council Through the involvement of our curriculum council, the input received was focused
September 23, 2014 around ensuring students have access to college and career course, offering wide
October 28, 2014 range of courses/programs and professional development for teachers. Hence,

January 27, 2015 development for teachers in the area of differentiated instruction for advanced
February 24, 2015 learners, GATE, AVID, Vital Link, Robotics and Career and Technical Education, and
March 24, 2015 Visual Performing Arts program.

May 26, 2015 Parents of English Learners stated they would like to see students using technology
and teachers participating in professional develop. Additionally, they wanted
District English Learners Advisory Committee schools to offer intervention programs for students that were struggling. Hence,
District Advisory Committee (DELAC) professional development for teachers to embed technology in instruction was
September 19, 2014 included in the LCAP to reflect this. Further, Expository Reading and Writing Courses
October 24, 2014 was added to our secondary schools with a reduced class size to help English
December 12, 2014 Learners and Low Income students meet state standards as well as intervention and
January 23, 2015 academic support such as credit recovery, summer school and CAHSEE support.

District Advisory Committee (DAC) DAC Committee was pleased with all of the increased services and programs offered
October 22, 2014 at schools this year and asked district to continue and/or increase what we had
January 28, 2015 implemented. Their additional request for resources and college workshops were
March 25, 2015 added to the LCAP.
April 29, 2015
ETAC committee’s input on the importance of student use of technology was a
Education Technology Advisory Committee primary focus in our LCAP. Hence, additional technology for students and updated
(ETAC) devices for teachers will be increased for the following years. LCAP included
September 25, 2014 Information and Educational Department increasing staffing and providing
December 11, 2014 professional development for all teachers to embed technology in their lessons.
